Memory Upgrade
How much of a memory upgrade do you
need?
When it comes to adding system memory, the general rule of
thumb is the more, the better.
For most systems a memory upgrade
that adds or doubles the exisiting system memory is
yet another cost effective way of increasing the
performance and extending the life of your computer.
But how much memory do you really need?
The answer very much depends on the age of your machine and
the use to which you put it but, as a general rule of thumb, if
your computer is more than 4 years old then a memory upgrade
may be a waste of money but if it is younger, then a
memory upgrade most certainly will give you a boost
in performance.
The bottom line is that adding memory makes your computer
more efficient and allows you to do more things at once.
